Branding is everything

With just under 3 weeks to go until cannabis legalization day here in Canada, we’re staying on top on the regulations surrounding this emerging industry. In particular, we’re interested in the advertising and branding rules, which are highly restrictive.

Ultimately this is extremely disadvantageous to brands, who need branding to stand out in a crowded space. More importantly, branding and advertising is how to deliver your message and find your audience.

We’re curious to learn alongside companies to see how they will be affected by these regulations, and it’s also possible that over time the rules can change.

It looks like for now cannabis companies will just have to find more creative ways to tell their brand story.
