April’s Staff Picks are brought to you by our very own Regan McDonell.
Regan is our Creative Director and her staff picks are more than just products. She has taken this opportunity to highlight products she loves designing instead!
Regan spends her days designing apparel for kids, and her nights writing fiction for teens. Her very first work of fiction, Black Chuck, was just released and was included by CBC in their 10 Canadian young adult titles to watch for in the first half of 2018 list!

Nothing beats the wide-open canvas of a t-shirt for a graphic apparel designer. This is my hands-down favourite product. You can do so much with a T-shirt, and Rightsleeve prides itself on some of the best apparel designs in the biz.
It’s not a product, but it will definitely take your apparel to the next level. If you’re considering fleece in your program, appliquéd twill, flocking, heat-transfers, woven & leather labels, etc will give it a serious retail feel.
3. Full Colour Perfect Bound Notebooks
I love designing for apparel, but sometimes the full colour freedom of a perfect bound journal is the best pallet cleanser.
Designing for the limitations of knitwear can be a really fun challenge, and you can see from these examples that we really push the possibilities. Who doesn’t want a pair of garibaldi fish peeking out of their dress shoes?
5. Full Collections
We love creating full product collections, and we’re really good at it. Sure, we can create amazing one-off pieces for you, but give us your conference packages, your on-boarding kits, your employee lifestyle brands, and we will give you a full retail-inspired collection of goods that fit your budget and make you look like a superstar. Easy!
