Case Study | Champions for Charity
About the Client
Champions for Charity is a boxing event organized by Mandy Bujold, a 2 time Pan Am Champion Boxer who also represented Canada at the Rio Olympics. 18 business professionals enter 13 weeks of training to step into the ring in support of McMaster Children’s Hospital and Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre.
The client wanted a way to identify ticketholders in a way that would work well with the classy black-tie theme, as opposed to using wristbands or stamps. There was also the opportunity to provide a gift to the participants, as a thank you for their efforts and time put into the event.
For the ticket identifier, we suggested enamel pins and ended up creating a sleek gold and black design of a champion’s belt.
For the boxing participants, we decided on an eco-friendly solution, a set of recycled wine bottle glasses. They are not only unique and high quality, but they are also personalized with the boxer’s names for that extra touch!
The first ever Champions for Charity event was a complete success, exceeding their fundraising goal to raise $160,000! The enamel pins looked fantastic on the suit jackets and dresses, with a lot of guests commenting on how much they liked the design. It was also the perfect memento for them to take home, and thank them for their support.
The recycled glass gifts were also a hit with the boxers, who became even more excited when they found out their names were engraved on them. Overall, finding unique and high-quality products added to the memorable experience of the Champions for Charity event.
